Education - Royal Air Force Museum, Cosford, Shropshire
Bring your school on a visit of exploration, discovery and adventure at the Royal Air Force Museum. A dedicated team of qualified staff use the unique and fascinating aircraft collection to provide a programme of educational and learning activities for all.
Educational activities offered at Cosford include Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1 to 5. Some of the most popular sessions include Let's Fly (KS1), where children complete a session at a mock airport. Children have their own passport, get their luggage weighed in and get to sit in genuine aircraft seats in a mock aeroplane. There are also uniforms to try on as part of the experience.
Other activities look at Science, WWII Evacuees, National Service and the Cold War. There are two dedicated classrooms within the National Cold War Exhibition containing all the latest technology.
